24K Gold Plated Gillette 195 (Fatboy) Adjustable Razor with Case & Blades – E3 I do my best to find lost, forgotten, and under-appreciated sets of old Gillette Fatboys and Slims, and restore them as best I can to the glory they deserve! The Razor: Gillette date code E referring to the year 1959 and 3 referring to the third fiscal quarter (July 1st – September 30th). Makes for an awesome gift for anyone, or commemorating anyone, born during this time. This razor has been restored/revamped/replated by Chris Spencer at “Backroads Gold.” It has received: Inspection & Repairs Disassembly & Extensive Cleaning Doors & End-Caps Mirror Polished and rest polished to factory finish Ultrasonic Electro-Cleaning & Acid Surface Activation Bright Nickel Plating, followed by 24K Hard Gold and/or White Platinum Re-painted, Oiled, and Final Hand Polish Reviews of Chris’s craftsmanship can be found on the Badger & Blade website under the thread titled “ The BRGAS (Back Roads Gold Appreciation Society)” I would link it directly, but mommy Pricetronic wont allow it. Warranty card included. The Case: The case unfortunately has a broken and missing hinge piece (see photos). Function is impaired. It still opens and closes fine enough, but doesn’t quite lock securely. Otherwise, the case looks nice still and only shows normal signs of wear for its age.
