For Repair Schick Krona Silver Tone DE Safety Razor Caution: The TTO function is not working properly on this razor. The entire handle has a tendency to turn, rather than only the knob. The razor is in nice condition, considering its age. The handle shows some wear but remains attractive. The head shows limited plating loss and wear, and maintains much luster as well. There is some plating loss/discoloration on one of the shaving bars. See "caution" above regarding the TTO function. Please use the pictures to properly identify and evaluate. Feel free to ask questions before bidding. The razor is being sold "as is", as such, there are no returns. If you are considering multiple purchases, I offer a combined shipping discount of $1.69 for each razor I don't have to mail individually. No Returns. From Badger and Blade: The Schick Krona received its name because it was marketed with the Schick Krona and Krona-Chrome blades. Eversharp has owned Schick since 1945. However, t he name Schick has become so popular in the United States that Eversharp never successfully migrated from its use even though it tried several times. Shaving
Evaluation from "Badger and Blade"Quality = The Krona is well made razor. Even after 40 years, the thick
plastic handles are still going strong. Grip = The Krona has a wonderful long knurled hard plastic no-slip
handle. If the Gillette Super Speeds feel small in your hands the Krona may be
just right. Warning: Don't boil a Krona to disinfect. The handle will melt
and deform and render the razor useless.
Aggressiveness = If a Gillette Super Speed is a 5 on a 1-10 scale, the
Krona is a 5.75. Just a tad more aggressive than the Super Speed. Personally I
don't get a smooth shave from a SS, they are too mild. The Krona's extra
aggressiveness consistently gives me a great shave. It also seems a bit more
forgiving should you apply more pressure than you should Adjustability = None Overall "The Krona is an underrated and I think
under appreciated razor that is well deserving of an accolade now and again. I
think it's an excellent razor for someone new to DE wet shaving as it is so
forgiving and you need that starting out. The balance and heft of the razor is
perfect. If you're thinking about trying one then I encourage you to give it a
go. It might just join your rotation and never leave it." Balance = Excellent Please visit my EBAY store http://stores.Pricetronic.com/mdickin924 To fulfill your future wet shaving needs
