Parker Closed-comb Mild-med Head/maggard Mr5 Ss Franken Razor

I generate a new FrankenRazor every time I buy a new safety razor, because there’s only one handle I use. I’ve been having a blast putting together Frankenrazors, so I’ve bought some parts from Fendrihan, Maggard, Parker, RazoRock, and West Coast Shaving then started assembling Frankenrazors to exponentially increase the variety of quality partsrazors to choose from! Even more fun!

I really don’t profit much if even at all after fees and shipping, I mainly do this to encourage/promote traditional wet shaving/DE shaving, because it’s a better, more affordable, eco-friendly, more fun way to shave.
What we have here is a brand-new Parker Mild-Medium Closed-Comb Head on a brand-new Maggard MR5 solid 303 stainless steel long handle, along with a PAA Buffer Ring to protect the plating on the bottom plate from the harder stainless handle.
Also included is a 5-pack of Gillette Nacet blades for maximum efficiency and smoothness. If those are too sharp, then I’ve additionally provided a 5-blade sampler of the most consistent-performing, affordable DE blades on the market today such as Rapira Swedish Supersteel, Derby Premium, Astra Superior Platinum, Treet Platinum Super Stainless and Astra Superior Stainless, so you can find your ideal blade.
The Parker closed-comb head is a mild-medium shaving head, and It shaves similar to a Muhle R89 head, but it’s a little heavier. The Maggard MR5 black 303 stainless handle is a great match to this head for maximum efficiency and a solid grip.

The finish of the MR5 is a satin matte stainless steel. It won't flake or chip like Chrome could over the years. There is no head included with this product.
The knurling is more accurate and defined than our previous brass handles.
Handle Compatibility:
The MR5 fits most double edge safety razor heads that have flat spots at least 11mm wide. A few heads (Weber, Gillette NEW) have smaller areas available for flush mounting a handle Please keep this in mind when purchasing this item.
As a final thought – Try not to compare this razor to a $150 one when you receive it. Shave with it, enjoy it, and remember, this is a budget razor that probably cost less than you spent on lunch last Tuesday. It is cheap enough to buy one for all of your friends and help expand our community. This is the reason we’ve made these available and the reason for their great success.
