Viintage Silver Plated Valet Autostrop Safety Razor

VALET AUTOSTROP SINGLE EDGE SAFETY RAZOR SET VC-1 manufactured from about 1922 - 1929. Not often found Canadian version. Silver Plated Brass, Open Comb, Solid Runner, Tabbed blade, Removable solid Knurled handle Reads "AutoStrop Safety Razor Co. Limited, Toronto Canada" Various patents 1914-1923 Uses Valet Blades and/or New readily available Feather FHS-10 (stainless) or FAS-10 (carbon). This type is also used with a standard single edge blade with the spine removed. Includes 1 Valet blade Condition . New Old Stock. Believed to be un-used. Razor is very nice. Clean. Metal case is straight with good hinges and latch. Manual looks good.  Check out the photos for details. NOTES OF INTEREST: Valet uses proprietary semi-disposable blades that can be re-sharpened in the blade holder by inserting leather strop (not included).  Valet filed suit with the Gillette company on copyright infringement in 1930. Gillette took over the company shortly after that.
