Unique Gillette Old Type Open Comb Silver and Gold Tone Manufacturing and Repair Date Codes The razor seems to be in reasonably nice condition. The handle shows some plating loss and wear, consistent with age, but remains attractive. The head also shows plating loss and wear, but maintains some luster as well. The comb was date stamped twice; once in manufacturing, once upon repair. The date codes are different on each side. One side reads "H151607" which would indicate a 1918 manufacturing date. The other side reads "L140746" which would indicate a 1920 repair date? You can find information about the "L repair date code" on the Badger and Blade forum, which cites Phil Krumholtz. Please use the pictures to properly identify and evaluate. Feel free to ask questions before bidding.
